Barbara Ann Patterson

Barbara Ann Patterson, age 84, peacefully transitioned from this life to eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Nov. 21, 2024, at her home in Blount County. She was surrounded by her fami-
ly, whom she loved with abandon during all the seasons of life.
Barbara was born at home to
Herman and Dollie Prince on May 9, 1940, in Blount County. She graduated from Locust Fork High School in 1958, where she was named Miss Locust Fork in that same year. She was a member of the Beta Club and Future Homemakers of America.
On June 28, 1958, she married Billy Wayne Pat- terson, to whom she was a faithful wife for 66 years. They had five children. She lived an exemplary life of consistency and devotion to God and her family. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman. She attended Masseyline Church of God for 50 years. She and Billy left Masseyline to pastor Moody Parkway Church of God in 1990. She served faithfully by his side until her death.
Later in her life she worked for Prince Market- ing, traveling and selling advertising for fundraisers. Then she became a Tupperware Representative and within six months she became a manager. A status she maintained for about 18 years. She retired to care for her mother-in-law and to spend time with her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of
66 years, Billy; son Leman Patterson (Charlotte); daughters Veronica Brewer (Keith) and Nancy Sisson (Les); grandchildren Carrie Hill (Ben), Jennifer Jus- tice (Nick), Chase Stephens (Sara), Micah Stephens (Samantha), Ally Rhodes (Jonathan), Annah Reese Patterson, Trevor Sisson (Brooke), Garret Sisson (Tay- lor), and Daniel Brewer (Olivia); great-grandchildren Cali Hill, Raylee Hughes, Solomon Stephens, Zayden, Abagail Stephens, Lily Stephens, Hadlyn Turner, Zoey Sisson, Gabriel Aguilar, Joshua Aguilar, Jayden Brew- er, and Landon Brewer; brothers Horace Prince and Lawrence Prince; a host of nieces, nephews, great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wil- liam Herman and Dollie Vaughn Prince; infant son Walter Herman Patterson; adult son Craig Patterson; sisters Marilyn Hays, Claudie Melvin, and Doris Hicks; sisters-in-law Christine Roberson Prince and Elaine Burns Prince.
The family received friends on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at Lemley Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 8p.m.
Mrs. Patterson lay in state at Masseyline Church
of God on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.. A funeral service was held at the church beginning at 1 p.m. with Rev. Stanley Owensby,
Rev. Lawrence Prince, Rev. Billy Patterson, and Rev. Andrew Kirkland presiding. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.
Asked to serve as pallbearers were Chase Ste- phens, Trevor Sisson, Micah Stephens, Garret Sisson, Jonathan Rhodes, Andrew Kirkland, Lorne Prince, and Randy Melvin.
