    Appalachian won its sixth straight area championship last week, outscoring their opponents 40-7. They opened the tournament with a 15-0 win over Jefferson Christian. Up next was Victory Christian, who they beat 15-3. They faced Victory Christian again in the championship game, winning 10-4. With the three wins, they are now 19-9-3. The top seed in the 1A East Region, the Eagles will start the tournament playing the 6-16 Skyline Vikings. The game starts at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Albertville’s Sand Mountain Park.
