James Milton King
JAMES MILTON KING, 65, of Cleveland, Ala., passed away on March 13, 2024. He was a member of Douglas Church of God and worked for Tidco Transportation out of Double Springs for many years.
He is preceded in death by grandfather Joseph Joe King; grandmother Sudie Pannell King; father James Wesley King; daughter Nicole King. He is survived by wife Shelia Grimmett King; mother Geraldine Jerri Hunter Kidder; son Michael King; daughter Katrina King Neff (Michael); step-son Joshua Smith (Tonia); step-daughters Jessica Faulkner (Ryan) and Jasmine Johnson (David); grandchildren Sky Cannon, Ally Murray, Christian Faulkner (Ariel), Trinity Smith, Jordan Smith, Abigail Faulkner, Mckenzie Edwards, and Kindle Edwards; one great grand child on the way; mother-in-law Faye Grimmett; bother-in-Law Phillip Grimmett & dog best friend, Shylo.
The family received friends on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Lemley Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Lemley Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m. with Bro. Nellon Smith, Bro. Paul Rivers, and Bro. Paul Sims presiding. Burial followed in New Lebanon Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Joshua Smith, Phillip Grimmett, Michael Neff, Jordan Smith, Christian Faulkner, Ryan Faulkner, Dominik Grimmett, John Jackson, and David Johnson. Lemley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
