Loyd Fate Tolbert

Loyd Fate Tolbert, age 90, of Holly Springs, passed away March 5, 2026.

 He was preceded in death by wife Mavis Ann Daily Tolbert; parents Wortha Fate and Mary Bell Bearden Tolbert; brothers Grady Tolbert, Shorty Tolbert, and Tommy Tolbert; sisters Thelma Owen, Bunia Owen, and Emogene Odom.

 He is survived by children Bobby Tolbert (Paula), John Tolbert (Sherry), Timothy Tolbert (Kim), Charlotte Koller, and Gary Tolbert (Alicia); 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; special nephew Kenneth Tolbert (Diane); beloved dog Laila; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.

 The family received friends Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Lemley Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m.. A funeral service was held in the chapel beginning at 2 p.m. with Jeff Daily and Sam Johnson presiding. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery. 

Asked to serve as pallbearers were Tanner Tolbert, Ethan Tolbert, Skylar Tolbert, Trevin Tolbert, Taylor Gargus, and Jarod Tolbert.
