Some of Glenda's favorite memories were
growing up surrounded by childhood friends. After
graduating from Walnut Grove High School in 1960,
she liked to point out that she was the youngest in
her class. Glenda was employed by Sterne Ager and
Leach in Birmingham for her entire life.
Those who knew Glenda will remember her
unwavering love for the Crimson Tide, her impec-
cable sense of style, and her devotion to her family.
She delighted in attending Alabama football games,
and in later years, enjoyed cheering on her team from
home. Glenda also had a deep love for her dogs, who
brought her joy and companionship throughout her
life.
Her family would like to extend their gratitude to
the staff at Birmingham East Nursing and Oassis Hos-
pice for their care and compassion during Glenda's
time there. Their support made a meaningful differ-
ence in her life.
Glenda's life was a testament to her family and
the love she had for her parents, siblings, and family.
Glenda requested that there not be a memorial
service and her family is honoring her request. In
lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the
Greater Birmingham Humane Society in memory of
