Nancy Lynn Murphree Reeves Davis

Murphree Reeves Davis age 66, of Blountsville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at UAB Hospital Palliative Care.  

Mrs. Davis was born on Aug. 27, 1958, in Oneonta, the daughter of Dewey Murphree and Rachel Bice Murphree. She was a graduate of Appalachian High School and later graduated from Wallace State with a nursing degree. She worked for several different hospitals and nursing homes before retiring due to health issues.  She and Robert Scott Davis were married on May 10, 1996. 

Survivors include her husband of 29 years Robert Scott Davis; children Isaac (Kristina) Reeves and Erica (Micheal) Hathcock; grandchildren Cheyenne, Alyssa, Braylee, Raelynn and Iris; brother Kenneth (Suzi) Murphree; and a host of other family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Rachel Murphree; brother Johnny W. Murphree; and sister Rebecca Murphree.  

Funeral Service was Wednesday Aug. 6, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Blountsville Funeral Home with Jimmy Reeves officiating. Visitation was from 5-6 p.m.  Her wishes were to be cremated. Interment will take place later at Duck River Cemetery.
