Robert Dale Williams

Robert Dale Williams of Remlap, age 70, passed away on March 10, 2025.

 Dale was well loved by the Pine Mountain Community Church, where he served as a founding member and a deacon. He continued his lifetime of service proudly as a Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff for 25 years, mentoring and training new deputies as an FTO (Field Training Officer.) He impacted his community in many ways by spending his free time with friends, family and as a coach in various sports, where he developed life-long relationships. Dale loved to spend time with his grandkids, fishing, reading his Bible, and talking politics. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend who loved to play tricks on those he loved. Dale will be missed by the many lives he touched with his life.
 He is survived by his wife Cindy Boggs Williams; sons Shane (Amy) and Brandon (Sara) Williams; father Robert Williams; six grandchildren Tyler, Kaylee, Mikalah, Cole, Kameron, and Kale; sister Pam Minyard (Darrell); two nieces and four nephews. sister-in-law Marla Peek (Mike). Dale is preceded in death by his mother Marie Williams and mother -in-law Barbara Boggs.
 The family received friends at the Lemley Funeral Chapel beginning at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Mr. Williams lay-in-state at the Pine Mountain Community Church beginning 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, with a funeral service at 2 p.m. with Brother Ryan Fortenberry presiding. The burial took place in the Pleasant Mount Cemetery following the service with Tyler Williams, Cole Williams, Kameron Williams, Kale Williams, Casey Hitt and Steven Minyard serving as pall bearers.
