Ruby Ray Evans Hutcherson

Ruby Ray Evans Hutcherson, age 93 of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, in the Hanceville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hanceville. Mrs. Hutcherson was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Marion County to William Rufus and Eunie Bishop Evans. Mrs. Hutcherson was a dedicated and loving housewife, member of Community Bible Church, and active member of the Locust Fork Senior Center.

Mrs. Hutcherson is survived by her sons Kenneth R. Hutcherson Jr. (Sharon) and Willam S, Hutcherson (Janice); her grandson Ryan Montgomery (Amber); granddaughters Christie Fox, Joy Josker (Zackary), Patty Vaughn (Eric), and Jenny Lynn McKinney; six great-grandsons Ashton Riggs, John Willam Vaughn, Jonathan Josker, Tyler Vaughn, Joel Josker, Memphis Montgomery; one great-granddaughter Charlee McKinney; and brother John Wayne Evans (Linda).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Hutcherson Sr.; her parents William Rufus and Eunie Bishop Evans; sisters Marie Evans, Willodean Evans Cagle; her brothers William Olen Evans and Bryce Evans; daughter Rebecca Lynn Montgomery; and granddaughter Cassandra (Sandy) Riggs.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 3 p.m. at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Easley Community Cemetery in Oneonta. Visitation was at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Sunday March 2, 2025, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Pallbearers were Ryan Montgomery, Chad Dorough, John William Vaughn, Ashton Riggs, Rick Rolin and Eric Vaughn.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Hanceville Nursing & Rehab, Southern Care Hospice, and all her family and friends that came to visit. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Easley Community Cemetery, 236 Oak Ridge Drive, Oneonta, Alabama 35121.
