Evelyn Washburn Daniel,

Evelyn Washburn Daniel, 95 of Blountsville, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, at TLC Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 4, 1929, in Blount County the daughter of Percy Bradford and Myrtle Smith Bradford. She was a 1947 graduate of J.B. Pennington High School. 

She worked as a hospital aide at Blount Memorial Hospital and a substitute teacher at Blountsville Elementary School, as well as worked for Blount Manufacturing Sewing Plant and Wrangler in Oneonta and Holly Pond. She was a member of Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her daughters: Sheila Washburn McHan (Gary) and Cynthia Washburn Haynes (Ronny); grandchildren Shawn M. Carroll (Joey), Jarrid J. McHan (Jessica) and Britney H. Brooks (Adam); great-grandchildren Kylee Johnson, Canaan Carroll, Kailyn Johnson, David Carroll, Jolee McHan, Zoey Carroll, and Jayden McHan; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Gene Washburn and second husband Jesse Andrew Daniel; parents Percy and Myrtle Bradford; sisters Mildred Wynn and Betty Robertson. 

Funeral Service was 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Blountsville Funeral Home with Jerry Hackney officiating. The burial was in South Cemetery. Visitation was noon to 2 p.m. at Blountsville Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Joey Carroll, David Carroll, Jayden McHan, Jordan Edge, Colby Talle,y and Gannon Black.
