Malikih Amari Montgomery was born June 28, 2006, to Marvin Montgomery Jr. and Mondria Butler in Birmingham. He
departed this life on Jan. 26, 2025, in Blount County.
Malikih was
baptized into Christ on Nov. 24, 2024, and became a member of Northwest Church of Christ in Huntsville.

Malikih was an amazing athlete in many sports, but his passion was football. He graduated in 2024 from Oneonta High School and attended Huntingdon College where he played his freshman year as a defensive back. He then transferred to University of North Alabama to pursue his dream.
Malikih loved traveling, shopping, playing games, and eating. But most of all, he loved spending quality time with his family and friends and was a huge inspiration to them all.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Anthony Ray Mostella; and aunt, Tandeka Monique Knowles.
He leaves to cherish his memories his parents Marvin (Shakira) Montgomery, Jr. (Huntsville) and Mondria Butler (Ashville); five brothers, Sincere Baker (Birmingham), Marlon Arrington (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Marquise Montgomery (Columbus, Ga.), Cam’Ron Montgomery (Huntsville), his twin Makhel Montgomery (Oneonta), Zaire Dillapree (Oneonta); four sisters, Jaleiah Montgomery (Columbus, Ga.), Aaniyah Stewart (Huntsville), Zion Dillapree (Oneonta), Brendasia Montgomery (Huntsville); grandparents, Marvin and Merlyn Montgomery, Sr. (Oneonta), Reflesia and Ray Fitch (Bessemer), and Monroe Butler (Oneonta); great-grandparents J.C. Butler (Oneonta), Mae Francis Butler (Oneonta); a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. He also leaves two special aunties, Great Auntie Connie Butler (Oneonta) and Tarria Douglas (Huntsville); and two special friends, Madi Loggins and Damarion “Fluff” Bothwell.
Visitation was held at Lemley Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at the Oneonta Church of Christ. Burial took place in Oak Hill Cemetery with Landon Bothwell, Tyrese Bothwell, Jordan Bothwell, Damarion Bothwell, James Pate Pass, Elijah Drew Webb, and Teigan Myer Hill serving as pallbearers.
