Tevin LaShon Payne

Tevin LaShon Payne 34, of Oneonta was born Dec. 13, 1990, to John and Lynne Payne. He departed his life on Jan. 13, 2025.

Tevin was baptized into Christ at an early age. He was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church of Oneonta. He graduated from Oneonta High School, class of 2009.

Tevin was known for his love of football and his favorite teams being LSU and the Baltimore Ravens.

Tevin was the owner of TLP Homes, LLC. Whenever you saw Tevin, he would have that big smile, cracking jokes, and cutting up with family and friends. When Tevin was not having homes built, he enjoyed playing his Playstation and going fishing with dear friends.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his parents John and Lynne Payne; twin brother Tarrant Payne; sisters Candice Payne of Birmingham and LaShonda Martin (Courtney) of Margaret; Grandmother; Albertein Bothwell, aunt;  Samantha(Willie) Woods, nephews Darius Crump, DeShaun Williams, CJ Martin, Tristan Payne, and Tylan Payne; nieces Arieal Martin, Tinzlee Payne, and Starr Payne; great-nephew Daxton Crump; great-nieces 
Kierany and Aubree; a host of other relatives and many dear friends.

The family received friends on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, at Lemley Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Mr. Payne will lie in state at Bethlehem Methodist Church on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, from noon until 1p.m. A funeral service will be held at the church beginning at 1 p.m. with Rev. Michael Robertson presiding. Burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. 

Asked to serve as pallbearers are Tarrant Payne, Candice Payne, Darius Crump, DeShaun Williams, Brian Turner, and Lional Holston.
