Alma Lee Hayes Horton

Alma Lee Hayes Horton, age 95, of High Rock Community, Ala., passed away on Nov. 25, 2024. She was a member of High Rock First Congregational Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by parents Joe and Luddie Shockley Hayes; husband Boyd Thomas Horton; brothers Earl and Earnest Hayes; sister Ethel Hayes.

She is survived by sons Conrad Horton (Ann) and Bobby Horton (Janet); grandchildren Brian Horton (Ginger), Tanya Smith (Ross), Brandon Horton (Jennifer), Kelli Allison (Lee), Brent Horton, and Heather Melissa; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sisters Myrtle Thomas and Helen Sherbet; a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Horton lay in state at High Rock First Congregational Methodist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A funeral service was held at the church beginning at 1 p.m. with Bro. Joel Johnson presiding. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.
