Lorene Thomas

Lorene Thomas, age 80, of the High Rock Community in Hayden, passed away on Oct. 13, 2024. She was a member of the Community Bible Church in Cleveland.

She is preceded in death by son Mike Thomas; daughter Michelle Sissom; parents Daniel and Luna Walker. She is survived by husband Rev. Houston “Junior” Thomas, Jr.; son Jerry Wayne Thomas; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Irene Posey and Jennette Statham; and her mother-in-law Myrtle Thomas. 

The family received friends on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at Lemley Funeral Home from noon until 2 p.m. A funeral service was held in the Chapel beginning at 2 p.m. with Rick Dill and Junior Thomas presiding. Burial followed at High Rock Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Adam Thomas, Ethan Hayes, Eli Thomas, Ty Sissom, Brock Cornelius, and Jimmy Posey.
