JACK GORDON ROBISON

c passed away peacefully Monday night Sept. 2, after a brief illness at TriStar Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., with his wife and son by his side.

Jack was born Jan. 3, 1936, to Inez Lacks Robison and Grady Edmund Robison in Oneonta, Ala. After graduating from Oneonta High School, he enlisted in the Air Force. After spending several years in the Air Force in Germany, he returned and enrolled at the University of Alabama on the GI Bill and earned a degree in accounting.

After graduation, he landed his first job as a public accountant for Haskins and Sells, kicking off a lengthy career as a CPA.

In 1961, he met Gaynell, and they wed in 1963, going on to have one child, Mark Gordon Robison.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, Inez Lacks Robison and Grady Edmund Robison; his brothers Joe Robison and Jim Robison; sister, Helen Southerland; nephews: Don Robison and John Robison.

He is survived by his wife, Gaynell Robison; son and daughter-in-law Ashley Walker Robison, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held graveside at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta at 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 5, 2024. Shandy Dill officiated. Tracy Gray, music.
