Joseph D. “Joe” Tipton

Joseph D. “Joe” Tipton, 91 of Blountsville passed away at his residence on Thursday July 25, 2024. Joe was born January 15, 1933, the son of William Roan Tipton and Bess Fullerton Tipton. He was a graduate of Oneonta High School and went on to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine from Auburn University. He was a veterinarian for many years and a member of Lester Memorial United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a host of family and friends.

Funeral Service was 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Blountsville Funeral Home with Harvey Beck officiating. The burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Blountsville Funeral Home directing.

Visitation was from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blountsville Funeral Home.
