Braxton Alan Beasley
Braxton Alan Beasley, age 19, of Oneonta, Ala., passed away on July 10, 2024 on Smith Lake in Bremen, Ala. Braxton was a devoted friend, brother, and son. Braxton was born in Brimingham, Ala. on Aug.23, 2004, the son of Stacey Holt and Phillip Beasley. Braxton worked at HydroHoist of Alabama on Smith Lake.
His uncle Michael Beasley Sr., grandparent and great-grandparents Lynn Holt, Herman and Myrtle Keith, M.A. Perkinson, Eva Clevenger, Harry and Kathryn Campbell, and Neta Beasley preceded him in death.
Survivors include his parents Chad and Stacey Holt, Phillip (Jennifer) Beasley; brothers Brantley Beasley and Brooks Holt; sisters Baylie and Rylie Beasley, Marlee, Lin, and Cam Tubbs; grandparents Don and Susan Clevenger, Ronald Keith, Danny and Cindy Beasley, Luke and Jean Oliver, Sonya and Greg Everett, Suzy (Charles) Holt.
Braxton was a graduate of Oneonta High School, class of 2022. He was an athlete, playing baseball for 4 years at Oneonta High School and a state championship in 2021. Braxton has played travel baseball since the age of 9 with the Oneonta Hitters, Spikes Baseball, and most recently Team Southeast. Braxton was the ultimate teammate leading by example and always encouraging everyone around him.
Braxton had a huge heart and a smile to match. He was selfless, hard-working, thoughtful, dedicated, kind, and the most loving kid to have ever known. He loved to help people and was quick to always lend a hand without question. Braxton always gave the best hugs and loved his friends and family with his whole heart. Braxton loved well and was well-loved.
Braxton lay in state at Lester Memorial Methodist Church Monday, July 15, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A funeral service was held at the church beginning at 2 p.m. with Bro. Harvey Beck presiding. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, located in Oneonta, Ala. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Brantley Beasley, Brody Moore, Braden Moore, Tanner Endress, Nick Painter, Jimmy Nguyen, Cameron Tate, and Landon Gargus.
