Barbara Ruth Underwood Jones

Barbara Ruth Underwood Jones, 80, of Oneonta, Ala., passed away on July 3, 2024. She was a member of Hendrix Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by husband James Jones; mother Irene Allcorn; father Curtis Underwood; step-father Fred Allcorn; brother Dale Underwood; sister Sue Knight.

She is survived by daughter Beth Dunn

(Chris); sons Curtis (Tina), Jeff (Deanna), and Allen Jones (Carrie); grandchildren Corey Jones (Crystal), Adam Jones, Colton Jones (Rachel), Erin Tibbs (Jason), Keaton Jones (Julianna), Amy Jones, Emma Claire Jones, Charlie Jones, and Dylan Dunn; great grandchildren Owen Jones, Jack Tibbs, Ben Tibbs, Jensen Jones, Molly Cleveland, Jules Cleveland, and Luke Cleveland; sisters Patti Thomas and Shirley Black; a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Lemley Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Hendrix Missionary Baptist Church beginning at 10 a.m. with Bro. Skyler Jones and Bro. Keith Franks presiding. Burial followed in Brown Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Corey Jones, Adam Jones, Colton Jones, Keaton Jones, Charlie Jones, and Dylan Dunn.
