Dorothy Ann “Dot” Fortenberry

Narrell, age 85, of Douglas passed away Thursday. June 27, 2024, at her residence. Dot was born on Dec. 25, 1938, in Cullman County, Ala., the daughter of Lee Olen Fortenberry and Othella Wilks Fortenberry. She was married to James Radford Narrell who passed away on Sept. 13, 1989. She worked for Blue Bell which was later Wrangler, as a seamstress for many years. She was an avid Alabama fan and loved crossword puzzles, reading and southern gospel music.

She is survived by her sons: Steven Narrell and Jason (Sirena) Narrell; grandchildren: Brian (Whitney) Narrell, Cory Narrell, Devon Pelham and Jacob Pelham; great grandchildren: Skylar, Sophia and Isaiah; host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lee Olen and Othella Fortenberry; husband: Radford Narrell; son and daughter in law: Randel and Renae Narrell; her brothers and sisters: Coy, Claudie, R.V., L.D., Idell and Estelle.

Funeral service were Saturday June 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Blountsville Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Stone and Bro. Brian Narrel officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service were: Rickey Fortenberry, Kara Cleland, Jacob Pelham, Justice Bradford, Steve Hooper, and Andrew Baker.
