John Barnett Evans

JOHN BARNETT EVANS, 89, of the Inland community, passed away peacefully at his home on March 19, 2024. Barnett was born March 3, 1935, in the Armstead community to the late John Henry and Bessie Mae Tidwell Evans.

Barnett is predeceased by his parents, his seven brothers, and seven sisters. He is survived by special nephews, Darryl Moody (Angie) and Jimmy Stewart (Mitsy) and a host of other nephews, nieces, great and great great nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Funeral services was held Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lemley Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Franklin officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Burial was at Clear Springs Cemetery on County Road 15. Serving as pallbearers were Alan Moody, Zach McAauley, Mark Skinner, Charles Payton, J.B. Payton, Dakota Duarte, and Honorary Pallbearer, John Jackson.
