Alexa Bliss Found Safe

The Blountsville Police Department is relieved to announce that Alexa Bliss, the 10-year-old girl reported missing since early March 10, 2024, has been found safe. Alexa was located at a residence in Warrior, Ala., at approximately 1:35 a.m. on March 12, 2024.

An arrest has been made in the case of Alexa’s disappearance. Warrants will be obtained for numerous charges and the suspect is currently being held in the Blount County Jail.

In a press release issued Monday, Blountsville Police Chief Shane Best said, "We are very grateful to be able to report on her safety and well-being. The circumstances of Alexa's disappearance are currently under thorough investigation, and we ask for your understanding as we will not be providing further details at this time."

According to the release, the successful resolution of this case was a result of the tireless efforts ofd multiple agencies and the community's support. Best shared, "The Blountsville PD extends its deepest gratitude to all BPD officers and the agents from the FBI, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Aviation Unit, Blount County Emergency Management Agency, Blount County Dispatch, Blountsville Fire Department, Snead Police Department, Cullman County Sheriff's Office, and Investigator Ed Hull with the Blount County Sheriff's Office, and Blount County DHR.

"This collaborative effort underscores the power of our community and the importance of interagency cooperation. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the citizens who generously brought food and drinks for everyone involved in the search effort. Your kindness and support were invaluable during this intense period. A heartfelt appreciation is also due to New Beginnings Church for their hospitality, providing a warm space with coffee and hot food for all the personnel working tirelessly on the case."

In closing, Best said, "Finding Alexa safe was our main objective, and achieving this would not have been possible without the collective effort of all the agencies and community members involved. We ask the public to respect the privacy of Alexa and her family during this time as they reunite and begin to heal from this ordeal. Further updates will be provided as deemed appropriate."
